Rich and Pam Eyram, a retired couple from Ontario, have concluded their ambitious 7,700-kilometer cross-country charity ride. Their journey, which began in May in British Columbia and ended in Halifax, Nova Scotia, aimed to raise $100,000 for Kids Help Phone. As of their arrival, the campaign has successfully garnered over $87,000.
The funds are intended to enhance mental health services in rural communities, which often lack adequate support. Pam Eyram emphasized the importance of reaching these areas and encouraged anyone feeling low to connect with Kids Help Phone.
Rich cycled the entire distance while Pam accompanied him in a campervan. Throughout their nearly 80-day trip, they met numerous people and were deeply touched by the personal stories shared in every community they visited.
Despite the arduous journey, the couple expressed that they will miss the road and the connections they made. They were heartened by the supportive community that welcomed them at their final destination.
