Thanjavur, a city in Tamil Nadu, has long been defined by the enduring legacy of the Chola dynasty. At the heart of this legacy is the Brihadeeswara Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has stood tall for over a millennium. As of August 2025, the temple continues to captivate visitors with its sheer architectural grandeur, which was commissioned by the famous Chola king, Raja Raja Chola, and completed in 1010 CE.
