In the town of Warwick, a historic landmark known as The Butts has recently been sold after a varied past spanning centuries. The property, which consists of the East Gate and St Peter's Chapel, dates back to the 14th and 15th centuries respectively.
Over the years, the site has served a multitude of purposes. It was originally a chapel, then converted into a school in the 16th century. In the 1700s, it was again used as a school, this time funded by a small charity. The building was later leased out as living accommodation and even used by a nearby high school until 2009.
Most recently, the property was converted into a successful Airbnb, attracting visitors from around the world. However, the expert owner who had modernized and improved the historic building has now sold it for £600,000.
