Centuries-Old Vitthalnathji Procession Captivates Vadodara

Last Sunday, the city of Vadodara witnessed the 216th annual Vitthalnathji Varghodo procession, a centuries-old tradition that celebrates the end of Chaturmas and the start of the auspicious season for religious and social ceremonies. The vibrant parade, filled with devotion and traditional music, commenced after Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad, a member of the Gaekwad royal family, performed the traditional puja at the Vitthalnathji temple in Mandvi.

Hundreds of devotees joined the lively parade as it made its way through the city's old quarters, accompanied by rhythmic drum beats, traditional bands, and the soulful chanting of bhajans.
