Cath Wiggins: Bradley's Rock Through Addiction

Cath Wiggins recounted her critical role in saving her ex-husband, Olympic champion Sir Bradley Wiggins, during a severe drug binge in 2023. She was called by their son, Ben, after Bradley suffered a near-fatal overdose in a London hotel.

Arriving at the scene, Cath found the room strewn with drugs and paraphernalia. She describes it as a "do or die moment," emphasizing the urgency to get Bradley help. She assisted him in sobering up, though he refused immediate rehab.

Cath arranged short-term accommodation and structured activities for Bradley before returning to their then-teenage children. She later returned, offering support and encouraging him to seek help, believing her intervention, along with their children's, likely saved his life.

Despite past turmoil, including divorce finalized two years ago and Bradley's bankruptcy in June 2024, the couple shared Christmas Day in 2025. Cath described the occasion as "genuinely lovely," indicating a new chapter for their family with Bradley sober and in a better place.

Cath also addressed Bradley's past struggles, including childhood abuse and drug addiction starting in 2018. She firmly believes he never used performance-enhancing drugs, stating accusations struck at his identity. She acknowledges the heavy price both have paid over the last decade.
