A heartwarming reunion has occurred five years after Artemis, a beloved cat, went missing from her Maryland family. The Garcis had searched extensively for their indoor/outdoor cat after her disappearance in 2021, but to no avail.
Recently, a community member discovered a cat in their unfinished basement and brought it to the Humane Society of Harford County. As per standard protocol, shelter staff scanned the feline for a microchip, successfully identifying Artemis.
Contacting the owners led to a moment of disbelief and joy. The Garcis, upon seeing Artemis, were struck by how unchanged she appeared. The cat immediately sought comfort, settling onto both of her owners' laps, marking a tearful and joyous conclusion to a five-year separation.
