Miracle Reunion: Cat Found After Almost a Year Missing
14 Aug
Summary
- A cat was found 100 miles from home after being missing for nearly a year.
- A Leeds cat rescue charity volunteer located the missing feline.
- The cat's owner was overjoyed to be reunited after 11 months.
A heartwarming reunion has occurred thanks to a dedicated cat rescue charity in Leeds. Volunteers from Cat Action Trust 1977 successfully located a ginger cat named Ginge, who had been missing for almost a year.
Ginge was discovered in Garforth, Leeds, by a volunteer, Lucy Roche, while she was caring for a feral cat colony. Roche noticed that Ginge was unusually tame for a feral cat and decided to take him to a veterinarian.
Upon scanning Ginge's microchip, the charity was able to trace his owner, who lives in Sunderland, 100 miles away. The owner was reportedly overwhelmed with emotion upon learning her cat had been found after nearly a year apart. The charity provides essential care, including food, water, shelter, and veterinary services, to feral cats across Leeds.
