A capybara named Prune has been declared the winner of a unique "capybara long bath showdown" held across several zoos in Japan. Prune's winning performance saw the rodent remain willingly in the bath for an impressive 1 hour, 45 minutes, and 18 seconds.
The competition timed how long each participating capybara would stay in their tubs before choosing to exit. Nagasaki Bio Park's Prune ultimately achieved the longest soaking time, outlasting other contenders.
Coming in second place was Koharu from Nasu Animal Kingdom, who bathed for 1 hour, 32 minutes, and 17 seconds. Truffle of Izu Shaboten Zoo secured third place with a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes, and 57 seconds.
