Cannibal Tribe Survivor Graduates University

Two decades after being marked for death by his cannibal tribe, Wawa Chombonggai has achieved a significant milestone by graduating from university. The young orphan's fate was dire when, at just six years old, his tribe condemned him as a male witch believed to be responsible for his parents' deaths.

His harrowing story surfaced during a documentary filming, sparking a media frenzy. While a rival network's rescue attempt was thwarted by visa issues, a local fixer, Kornelus Sembirang, intervened by adopting Chombonggai and ensuring his safety and education.

Now living in North Sumatra, Chombonggai recently earned a degree in sports science. He acknowledges the public outcry and financial aid that aided his survival and education, though he expresses caution about future media interactions, fearing exploitation.
