The group was reportedly given three hours to pack up and leave Black Rock City.
John Hinerman, a member of the missionary camp, documented the eviction and alleged discrimination based on their religious beliefs. He claimed that over 600 people had embraced Christianity and that some baptisms were performed. Burning Man officials stated that the camp received multiple warnings before the eviction, citing concerns over filming individuals without consent and approaching attendees for religious blessings. There were also reports of loud music played by the camp and the distribution of religious pamphlets to a minor.
The eviction process was described as chaotic, with camp infrastructure being scattered by strong winds. Additionally, some missionary gear was left behind, contravening Burning Man's "leave no trace" principle. This is not the first time religious outreach groups have encountered issues at the festival.
