Buc-ee's Expansion: From Texas Favorite to U.S. Staple

Buc-ee's, a popular U.S. gas station chain, has unexpectedly become a sensation among international World Cup fans. Visitors have shared viral videos on social media, expressing surprise and delight at the mega-travel centers' extensive offerings, from brisket to unique American snacks. This newfound global appreciation comes as Buc-ee's embarks on a significant expansion across the country.

One new location recently opened in Goodyear, Arizona, boasting 120 gas pumps and a 74,000-square-foot property. Further expansion plans include new stores in Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee in the coming months. Over the next two years, additional locations are scheduled for Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

By 2028, a total of 12 new Buc-ee's locations are expected to open. Additional sites are planned for 2029 in Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, and South Carolina. While the company has not officially commented on its popularity with World Cup tourists, Buc-ee's has long been a favorite among Americans, especially in its home state of Texas, recognized for its roadside snacks, exceptionally clean restrooms, and iconic beaver mascot.
