Bikers Deliver Hundreds of Christmas Toys

A heartwarming tradition has seen over 250 motorcyclists unite for the Newark Salvation Army's Christmas present appeal. What started 16 years ago as a small gathering of 17 friends has blossomed into a significant charitable event. This year, the convoy delivered hundreds of toys, making a substantial difference for children in need.

Organizers described the ride as a festive and joyful occasion, with participants often dressed as Father Christmas, receiving enthusiastic waves and horn honks from the public. The Salvation Army nationally estimates that 68,000 gifts will be donated, supporting families facing financial difficulties during the holiday season.

The Newark Salvation Army's minister confirmed that the donated presents would benefit approximately 400 local children. The charity emphasizes its commitment to alleviating the financial strain on families, ensuring that every child can experience the joy of receiving gifts at Christmas. Donations are being accepted until December 7th.
