Daniel Sorge, the proprietor of Melloswing Barbershop in Beverly for nearly two decades, is currently engaged in a difficult battle with stage four colon cancer that has metastasized to his liver.

He received his diagnosis in October and has been undergoing treatment. Despite the physical challenges, Sorge has been working to maintain his business to cover expenses. Friends have initiated a GoFundMe campaign, which has already gathered significant donations, offering him crucial support.

Sorge's doctors indicate his condition is improving. He aims to leverage his personal health journey to advocate for regular health screenings and promote wellness within his community, emphasizing the importance of early detection.
