One customer, Arati Ravi Patil, 63, waited for over two hours to purchase a Mysore Silk sari from the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Ltd at Majestic. Holding her sari like a treasure, Arati expressed her delight, saying, "The ritual brings in positivity and good vibes." In addition to the sari, Arati also bought gold bangles for her granddaughter, Advaya, to honor the Dhanteras tradition.
Radhika Vaitheeswaran, a resident of Adarsh Crystal Apartment, also joined the shopping frenzy, purchasing a pair of silver tumblers, saris, and gift hampers for friends and family. Despite the surge in gold prices, many opted for silver and other items, with Neha Arora, 43, buying a silver coin online for Rs 4,500, citing the reasonable price and hassle-free experience.
As the city embraced the spirit of Dhanteras, the celebrations signaled the start of a joyous and prosperous Deepavali season in Bengaluru.
