Banjo's Bagels, a new pop culture-inspired bagel shop, is scheduled to open its doors on Margaret Street in Plattsburgh this month. Co-owners Jordan and Moira Spadafora have transformed the space into a haven for fans of movies, books, TV shows, and music, complete with themed decor and memorabilia.
The shop's menu will feature breakfast and lunch items named after iconic characters and references from popular culture, such as "The Hulk" and "It Always Sunny in Philly Cheese Steak." Complementing the theme, the interior boasts a mural inspired by "The Hobbit" and a sofa reminiscent of the one from "Friends."
Beyond the unique theme, Banjo's Bagels plans to offer a wide array of bagel flavors and a rotating selection of five to ten homemade cream cheeses, including adventurous options like cotton candy and hot honey. The Spadaforas, who previously worked together for 11 years, aim to foster a community atmosphere where patrons can share their interests.
Customers can anticipate familiar favorites from the previous establishment, Bagel Pit, alongside new additions that will evolve based on customer feedback. The shop's Facebook page provides updates and more information.
