The 157th Balmoral Show is set to commence this Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Balmoral Park, located outside Lisburn. This four-day agricultural extravaganza, organized by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society, will showcase over 3,500 animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs, and horses. While poultry competitions are canceled due to bird flu restrictions, a small bird display will still be present.
Visitors can anticipate thrilling events such as international showjumping, sheep shearing demonstrations, and performances by the freestyle motocross Bolddog FMX team. A significant change this year is the exclusive use of a new Balmoral Show app for all event details, as printed maps and timetables will not be provided.
The show runs until Saturday, May 16, opening daily at 09:30 BST. Daily closing times are 19:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 18:00 on Saturday. Attendees are advised to use public transport, with a shuttle service available from Lisburn train station. On-site parking is available for £10 cash per car.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance, as there will be no sales at the gate. Children under five enter for free, and early bird ticket prices are available until Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 22:00. A strict no-dogs policy is enforced, with exceptions for assistance animals.
