Actor Abhay Deol's distinctive Goa home, a glass structure enveloped by forest, reflects his unique personality and design philosophy. Previously featured in 'Asian Paints Where The Heart Is' in 2022, Deol elaborated on his preference for minimalism and integrating the outdoors into his living space.
The property, situated away from bustling tourist spots, serves as a serene retreat. Deol's design eschews traditional room separation, aiming instead to make the surrounding greenery an intrinsic part of the home. Large glass doors and walls create an uninterrupted visual flow, complemented by soaring rooflines that enhance the sense of spaciousness and natural light.
Exposed brick, cement, and wood elements contribute to the home's understated character. Deol intentionally kept the foundation simple, utilizing black granite, dark wood, and bare walls as a restrained base. This minimalist approach allows carefully selected objects and the natural landscape to take center stage, with occasional bold color accents adding depth.
The residence is further personalized with artwork by visiting artists and cherished memorabilia collected over the years. This curated selection reflects Deol's inclination towards surrounding himself with meaningful items. Beyond being a retreat, the house functions as a space for relaxation, entertaining, and sharing his personal interests with visitors.
