Young Philanthropist Brightens Hospice Christmas

A six-year-old girl named Eleri has brought festive cheer to patients at Myton Hospice in Warwick through an act of extraordinary kindness. Using her own pocket money, she purchased a wide array of gifts, including chocolates, puzzle books, magazines, and slippers.

Eleri's thoughtful gesture was inspired by her grandmother, who had been cared for at the hospice. She specifically asked staff what items would be most helpful, expressing a desire for patients to feel well-cared for and free from worry about essential needs.

The ward manager, Sharon Kelly, described Eleri's actions as deeply touching, noting that every item chosen will provide comfort, dignity, and moments of joy for both patients and their families during the holiday season.
