Meadow had tried various diets in the past, including calorie counting, Slimfast, and fasting, but none of them stuck. However, on New Year's Day 2024, she was "mortified" after seeing pictures from a New Year's Eve party and promised herself she would never feel that way again.
Meadow then discovered Slimming World through her mother, who had already lost a stone and a half on the plan. Meadow tried the program on her own for a week before attending her first class, weighing 13 stone 7 pounds and wearing a size 16. Over the next nine months, Meadow lost an impressive 4 stone 8 pounds without the help of weight loss injections, reaching her goal weight of 9 stone.
