Wedding Slap Leads to Shock Brain Tumor Diagnosis

Richard Plowman experienced a startling medical revelation following a "playful slap" on his arm during his wedding reception on July 12, 2025, in Croydon, London. Initially, the incident caused a muscle spasm and a tingling sensation, which he and his wife, Victoria, dismissed due to the hot weather and potential dehydration.

Weeks after the wedding, the spasms returned intermittently. Accompanying symptoms of headaches and vomiting emerged, described as debilitating. These issues prompted Richard to seek medical attention, leading to referrals and eventually a private neurology consultation.

A CT scan performed by the neurologist uncovered a brain tumor. This diagnosis has significantly impacted Richard's life, causing right arm weakness that requires a walking stick and wheelchair, and forcing him to leave his job.
