Northwoods Caregivers is presenting a Virtual Dementia Tour on December 8th at the Cass Lake Indian Health Service. This immersive experience is designed to replicate the sensory and cognitive changes associated with dementia, enabling attendees to gain firsthand insight into the daily struggles of those affected.
The primary goal of this hands-on simulation is to cultivate a more profound empathy and comprehension of the physical and mental hurdles individuals living with dementia encounter. The event is offered free of charge to the public.
Caregivers are particularly encouraged to participate in this enlightening session. Due to limited capacity, interested individuals are advised to contact Earlene Buffalo at (218) 333-8264 to secure their spot. The event is supported by the Minnesota Board on Aging, Minnesota Live Well at Home, and the Central Minnesota Council on Aging.
