Varanasi Fights Disease: Health Campaign Launched

In Varanasi, the Special Communicable Disease Control Campaign and Dastak Campaign were inaugurated on Thursday at Shri Shiv Prasad Gupta Divisional Hospital. A public awareness rally, organized by the Municipal Corporation and Health Department, saw participation from sanitation and health workers. The rally aimed to educate the public on maintaining cleanliness, preventing waterlogging, eliminating mosquito breeding grounds, and protecting themselves from communicable diseases.
Former minister and MLA Neelkanth Tiwari stated the government's commitment to eradicating communicable diseases and commended inter-departmental efforts in disease prevention, particularly for dengue and malaria. Chief Medical Officer NP Singh stressed the importance of timely completion of scheduled activities by all departments according to their micro-plans.
Residents have been urged by health officials not to allow water to stagnate around their homes. Furthermore, individuals experiencing fever are advised against self-medication and encouraged to visit their nearest health center for proper testing and medical consultation.
