Two prominent supermarkets, Asda and Aldi, have initiated urgent product recalls affecting items available for the Christmas season. These recalls are primarily due to food safety concerns and undeclared allergens, necessitating immediate consumer awareness and action.
Asda has recalled its 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dip, sold in 220g packs. The product was mislabeled with an incorrect use-by date of December 29, 2025, when it should be November 29, 2025. Customers are advised not to consume the product and to return it to any Asda store for a full refund without needing a receipt.
Similarly, Aldi has recalled its Perfect Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets (278g packs) due to the presence of undeclared egg, posing a significant risk to individuals with egg allergies or intolerances. The affected products, with a use-by date of December 15, 2025, have been removed from sale. Both retailers are displaying point-of-sale notices to inform customers.
