Emergency medical care is a critical pillar of a strong healthcare system, with timely treatment significantly impacting patient survival, stated Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday.
Speaking at the EMPARV-2026 conference at SGPGI, Pathak underscored the need for immediate intervention, rapid expert decisions, and advanced technology for critical patients. He urged that emergency medicine be viewed as an integrated life-saving system.
The EMPARV-2026 conference, held on Sunday, served as a platform for doctors, nurses, and medical experts to share knowledge and innovations. It featured 21 workshops, over 1,000 delegates, and approximately 180 national faculty members, alongside international experts.
Pathak emphasized Uttar Pradesh's goal to extend quality emergency services beyond major cities to villages and towns. The state government is developing a comprehensive network to link medical colleges, district hospitals, and ambulance services.
This Uttar Pradesh Trauma and Emergency Network aims to ensure patients reach appropriate care within the crucial 'golden hour.' Expanding accessible, rapid, and high-quality emergency and critical-care services, along with adopting advanced technologies, remains a key priority for the state.
