Chicken products in the UK are subject to urgent recalls as a widespread outbreak of Salmonella and E. coli contaminates numerous items. Summit Foods has initiated a recall for several specific chicken wrap products, including the Snacksters Chicken Fajita Wrap and Snacksters Hoi Sin Wrap, with sell-by dates up to September 5, 2026. Consumers who have purchased these items are instructed to discard them and contact sales@summutfoods.co.uk for a refund, providing purchase details.
Symptoms of Salmonella include diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting, and fever, typically appearing 12 to 72 hours after infection. While most cases resolve within a week, severe complications like bloodstream infections can occur. E. coli symptoms involve severe stomach cramps and bloody loose stools, sometimes accompanied by vomiting.
