13 Nov
Summary
- Kirsty Gallacher has a benign brain tumor that is "growing very fast"
- She is undergoing radiotherapy, but uncertain if it will shrink the tumor
- Gallacher was recently assaulted in a "targeted" attack in London

In November 2025, former Sky Sports host Kirsty Gallacher, 49, opened up about her rapidly growing benign brain tumor. Gallacher, who is deaf in one ear, said the acoustic neuroma has been monitored for the past three years but is now "growing very fast." She has begun radiotherapy treatment, but is uncertain if it will be effective in shrinking the tumor.
Gallacher also spoke about a recent "targeted" assault she experienced in central London just two weeks ago. The broadcaster was deprived of her driver's license for six months after being caught speeding in April 2025, with 12 points on her license. Gallacher claimed she has "no confidence" using public transportation and needs her car to provide for her family.
In addition to her health struggles, Gallacher has been dealing with ongoing tinnitus and hearing loss due to her brain tumor condition. She was forced to step away from her role as a GB News anchor in August 2024 to recover from these issues. Despite the challenges, Gallacher remains determined to care for her family as an "ordinary mum with plates spinning."
