Trisha Goddard shares candid health update with fans

Trisha Goddard, a television presenter, has provided an update to her social media followers regarding her ongoing battle with terminal breast cancer. The 68-year-old was diagnosed with secondary, or stage 4, breast cancer in July 2022.

Recently, Goddard shared that she had returned to the hospital for a procedure to manage painful symptoms. She posted a montage of photos from the hospital, humorously describing receiving steroid injections to combat aches left by radiation treatment. She quipped about the large needles, comparing them to past difficult relationships.

Goddard's health journey began with an initial breast cancer diagnosis in 2008. This led to operations and chemotherapy, which caused complications, including eye damage. In July 2022, she discovered the cancer had returned and spread to her hip, leading to a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer. This form is treatable but incurable.

Speaking publicly about her condition became a necessity for Goddard, as keeping the secret had become a significant burden. She has been undergoing hormone therapy infusions every three weeks, alongside regular scans and blood tests, after opting for life-prolonging care.
