Emergency ambulance services in Tamil Nadu have been made significantly more accessible through the introduction of a WhatsApp Chatbot facility. Launched to alleviate pressure on emergency services and improve public access, this new system allows residents to book an ambulance with ease.
Health Minister Ma. Subramanian officially launched the service on Thursday. Individuals can now initiate a request by sending a 'Hi' message via WhatsApp to the Tamil Nadu Health System Project number, 94450 30725. Following this, they are prompted to share their location, which generates an 'Incident ID' for the ambulance dispatch.
The enhanced system provides users with real-time updates regarding their ambulance, including vehicle details. Additionally, it offers information about the nearest government hospital and tracking facilities, ensuring a transparent and responsive emergency medical transportation process.
