These recalled sugars were distributed to Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Consumers should check batch codes for specific affected lots, as not all products are impacted. United Sugar Producers and Refiners is a significant supplier, accounting for about a quarter of sugar used in the United States, serving both retail and food manufacturing sectors. Those in the affected states with wheat allergies are advised to inspect their sugar supplies.
