Summary
- A 12-year-old girl received a stem cell transplant for Fanconi anaemia.
- Her younger sister served as the matched sibling donor for the procedure.
- The Hans Foundation fully funded the life-saving treatment.

A 12-year-old girl diagnosed with Fanconi anaemia, a rare inherited disorder causing bone marrow failure, has successfully received a life-saving stem cell transplant. The procedure took place at G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital in Coimbatore.
Her three-year-old sister acted as the matched sibling donor for the allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This critical intervention was necessary due to the girl's progressive decline in blood cell counts, which necessitated frequent blood transfusions.
The family, currently residing in Ernakulam for work, sought advanced medical care. The successful transplant was made possible through the full financial support of The Hans Foundation, which covered all expenses for the bone marrow transplant and related treatments.
