Dad's Race Against Time for Cancer Treatment

Serdar Ferit, a 45-year-old father from London, is engaged in a critical battle against stage 4 colon cancer. Despite undergoing extensive treatment in the UK for three-and-a-half years, his medical options within the National Health Service have been depleted. The prognosis for his condition indicates a low survival rate, yet Serdar remains optimistic, focusing on living as long as possible for his son, Jaxon.

His journey began after he delayed seeking medical attention for symptoms in February 2022, initially mistaking them for hemorrhoids. By the time of his diagnosis in September 2022, the cancer had advanced to stage four, spreading to his liver and showing signs on his lungs. This devastating news came after a period of apparent remission and a break from treatment.

Now, Serdar is pursuing alternative treatment, specifically immunotherapy, in Mexico, which he believes can help his body continually combat cancer cells. He has initiated a fundraising campaign to cover the estimated £290,000 cost for the two-year treatment plan, including CAR-T therapy and cancer vaccines. He has already raised a significant portion of this amount, expressing deep gratitude for the public's support.

Serdar's motivation is to witness his son grow into adulthood and to support his aging parents. He is determined to defy the statistics and cherishes his outlook on life, seeking to experience more joy and create lasting memories with his loved ones.
