Mom's Dementia Scare Reveals Stage 4 Brain Cancer

Tracy Kehoe, a 57-year-old from Manchester, England, experienced alarming memory issues and dizziness, initially fearing early-onset dementia due to a family history. Medical investigations, including an MRI scan at Fairfield General Hospital, led to a stark diagnosis: stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
Doctors provided a prognosis of six to 18 months to live. Kehoe underwent an awake craniotomy in August 2025, successfully removing 95% of the tumor. She has since completed radiotherapy and chemotherapy, with further cycles planned. Post-surgery scans showed the remaining tumor was only microscopically visible, offering hopeful results.
In support of her mother's resilience, Kehoe's daughter, Ellie Hutson, organized a charity walk on Sunday, March 22. The event raised funds for The Brain Tumor Charity, with approximately 25 family and friends participating, all wearing the color red.
