Construction of the Sri Padmavati Children's Hospital in Alipiri is nearing its final stages, with an imminent inauguration planned. During a recent inspection, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal urged swift installation of essential medical equipment and infrastructure. The hospital's design includes advanced features, with the sixth floor dedicated to operation theatres and the seventh floor equipped with a helipad for rapid emergency patient transport.
Discussions also covered the operational aspects of the hospital, including the NTR Vaidya Seva and Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust schemes. Children who have recently undergone cardiac surgeries shared their positive experiences regarding the free treatment and quality of care provided. These recent developments highlight the ongoing commitment to enhancing pediatric healthcare services.
The hospital director reported that 4,950 cardiac surgeries and 23 heart transplant procedures have already been successfully performed on infants and children. The TTD continues to invest in state-of-the-art medical technology, evidenced by the inspection of an advanced Cath Lab machine and specialized isolation wards within the intensive care units.
