Hoy's Brave Health Update: Cancer & MS Battles

Sir Chris Hoy has provided an update on his health, detailing his ongoing battle with stage four terminal cancer and his wife Lady Sarra's diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Two years ago, Hoy received the devastating news that his prostate cancer had metastasized to his bones. He revealed in October 2024 that his condition is terminal, with an estimated two to four years to live.

Speaking on a podcast, Hoy shared that he is "doing alright" and has learned to "live more in the moment" since his diagnosis. He acknowledged the difficulty of such news, especially with young children, but emphasized the importance of acceptance and moving forward. His wife Sarra was diagnosed with MS shortly after his own diagnosis, a period Hoy described as their "lowest point."

Despite the challenges, Hoy stated that his wife is "doing fine" and they are "still pushing on and still having fun." He also recently voiced strong disappointment with the UK National Screening Committee's recommendation against routine prostate cancer screening, advocating for early detection to save lives.
