Patients with severe ENT injuries now have access to specialized treatment at SGPGI Apex Trauma Centre. The institute has initiated a dedicated Ear, Nose, and Throat Outpatient Department (OPD) that will operate every Monday and Wednesday.
This new service is designed to manage complex conditions such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks through the nose or ear, and facial paralysis caused by trauma. It will also address trauma-induced hearing loss following accidents and neck injuries affecting the ENT region.
Patients with common or severe ENT ailments, as well as trauma-related conditions, will benefit from this initiative. The OPD offers access to endoscopic and surgical procedures for various nose, sinus, ear, and throat disorders. This specialized care will be particularly beneficial for trauma patients at the center itself.
