Savannah Bee Company is voluntarily recalling a specific lot of its Honey BBQ sauce-mustard because of undeclared soy and wheat. This recall, announced on February 27, 2026, is a safety measure against potential severe allergic reactions. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted the announcement regarding the affected product.
The recall pertains to Honey BBQ sauce in lot number B1L1360525, with a Best Before date of May 16, 2027, and UPC 8 50033 93758 9. These products were distributed nationwide between July 30, 2025, and February 26, 2026.
The issue arose when a customer reported that Honey BBQ Sauce-Sweet, containing wheat and soy, was mislabeled as Honey BBQ Sauce-Mustard. Investigation confirmed the mislabeling and failure to declare wheat and soy. Savannah Bee Company urges customers to dispose of the affected bottles immediately.
As of the announcement date, no illnesses linked to the recalled sauce have been reported. The company is conducting the recall in cooperation with the FDA.
