An imported ready-to-eat pork product, exclusively sold at Tesco, has been recalled following a salmonella outbreak. The contamination has resulted in several hospitalizations, with two patients developing bloodstream infections. No deaths have been reported in connection with the outbreak.
The Food Standards Agency has issued a warning, urging customers not to consume the affected sausage, which comes in 200g packs with a best-before date of March 4, 2026. Consumers are advised to return the product to stores for a full refund.
Infections linked to this outbreak were reported between January 7 and February 11.
