The training comes as Uganda remains vigilant against Ebola, with the virus continuing to spread in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Although Uganda was declared Ebola-free on August 27, the risk of cross-border transmission persists. Russia has been actively involved in supporting Uganda's health security, having previously sent epidemiologists to assist with outbreak investigations and donated a mobile anti-epidemic laboratory.
