Continuing Medical Education (CME) serves as a significant advantage for young physicians, enabling them to refine their expertise and keep abreast of the latest medical advancements. The Indian Medical Association's former State president, V.S. Prasad, emphasized this point on March 8, 2026. He also felicitated Dr. Krishna Chaitnya for achieving the first rank and securing a gold medal in the Doctor of Medicine (DM)-Gastroenterology examinations. These exams were conducted by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Chaitnya completed his super-specialty training in Gastroenterology at Andhra Medical College, achieving the highest marks among students from various state medical colleges who pursued this course between 2023 and 2026. Dr. Prasad highlighted Dr. Chaitnya's rural origins in Godiyada village, Vizianagaram district, as proof that students from such backgrounds can excel. He stressed the need for all doctors to prioritize academic skills for knowledgeable and confident practice.
