The Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation has announced its largest-ever contribution, a $5-million donation from Lisa O'Regan. This significant gift honors her late husband, Sean O'Regan, a noted community leader and CEO of O'Regans Automotive Group.
The philanthropic funds are designated to enhance patient care at Dartmouth General. Key investments include the acquisition of a new, state-of-the-art photon-counting CT scanner, the first in Atlantic Canada, which promises better resolution and reduced radiation for patients.
Additionally, the donation will bolster the hospital's emergency department capacity and improve the Dartmouth General Hospital Social Work Patients Essential Fund. In recognition of this generosity, the hospital's west wing will be renamed the Sean O'Regan Wing.
