Hospitals on High Alert for Emergencies

Hospitals across Rawalpindi have been placed on high alert by the Punjab government. Medical superintendents have received directives to ensure comprehensive arrangements for medicines and maintain staff presence around the clock.

This measure aims to bolster the capacity of health facilities, including Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, and Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital, to effectively manage any emergency or untoward incident. All Emergency departments are mandated to operate fully 24/7.

Furthermore, Operation Theatres and the Radiology Department are to remain operational continuously. Shift-wise duty rosters for all medical and support staff will be prepared and strictly enforced to guarantee adequate coverage. Preparations for trauma and surgical emergencies are a priority, ensuring the availability of specialist physicians, surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and allied staff.
