Rajasthan Boosts CHD Care with New Registry and Hub

Rajasthan is launching a comprehensive initiative to improve care for children with congenital heart diseases (CHD). The health department plans to establish a child heart disease registry to meticulously track cases and monitor treatment outcomes.
Furthermore, a regional CHD hub will be developed to consolidate and streamline specialist services. This hub aims to ensure that children receive timely and expert care, regardless of their location within the state. Expanded 2D Echo services will also be rolled out to bolster screening and diagnostic capabilities.
These upgrades are designed to strengthen the referral-to-treatment pathways and technical capacity for CHD management. The state is committed to ensuring effective statewide CHD care, supported by the Centre's Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and new cardiac facilities, including a Rs 20-crore CTVS surgery unit at JK Lon Hospital slated for 2025.
