Milk Contamination Kills Two Elderly Women in Rajahmundry

Tragic news emerged from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, where two elderly women died due to suspected milk contamination. The victims, aged 85 and 70, passed away from acute renal failure, while seven other individuals are currently receiving treatment in local hospitals. These patients were admitted with symptoms of anuria, indicating severe health issues. A milk vendor serving over 100 households in the Chowdeshwari Nagar and Swaroop Nagar areas has been detained as a primary suspect. Initial investigations have confirmed the presence of adulterants in milk supplied to 75 homes. A Rapid Response Team is actively collecting milk, food, and water samples from residences for laboratory analysis. Medical camps have been established in the affected localities, and post-mortem examinations are scheduled for the deceased to confirm the cause of death. The Chief Minister has been briefed and directed senior officials to visit the site immediately.
