193 Donate Blood for MD's Birthday Bash

More than 193 people donated blood at a camp organized in Raichur on Friday. This event coincided with the 64th birthday celebrations of Vishnukant Bhutada, the Managing Director of Shilpa Medicare.
The blood drive was a collaborative initiative involving Shilpa Medicare Ltd., Shilpa Foundation, Navodaya Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, and Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). It took place at a hall within Shilpa Pharma Lifesciences Ltd.
Inaugurating the camp, Sharath Reddy, Director of Shilpa Pharma Lifesciences, highlighted the vital role of blood donation in saving lives. He encouraged widespread participation, framing blood donation as a social responsibility. Reddy also noted the personal health benefits of regular, medically eligible donations.
Sharath Reddy and Chief Operating Officer Manicka Vasagan acknowledged Vishnukant Bhutada's significant contributions. These span health, education, environmental protection, and sports, primarily through the Shilpa Foundation and his social service efforts in Raichur.
Notable attendees included A.S. Ananda, Vice-Principal; Ashraf, a medical officer at Navodaya Medical College; and Ahmad Hussain from the RIMS blood bank, alongside other medical professionals, officials, and employees from Shilpa Medicare.
