Presley Gerber's Sober Coach: A Constant Companion

Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old model and son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, had a sober coach providing continuous, around-the-clock support in the months before his death. This intensive support was part of his efforts to maintain sobriety before checking into a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility.

Gerber passed away on September 20 at the treatment center, found unresponsive. While his death is being investigated as a suspected overdose, the official cause and manner remain pending further testing, including toxicology results.

In his journey toward recovery, Gerber had publicly shared his experiences, including undergoing ibogaine treatment in Mexico in March. This hallucinogen, derived from a West African plant, is used in some countries to treat addiction.

He also proactively spoke about his mental health challenges, depression, and drug use, aiming to destigmatize these issues. Through his 'Mental Health Mondays' initiative, he sought to encourage open conversations and help others grappling with similar difficulties, expressing pride in inspiring a movement around openness and healing.
