Hidden Soy Sparks Meatloaf Recall

Power Plate Meals LLC has initiated a recall of approximately 5,795 pounds of its frozen meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes. This action was taken because the products contain soy, which was not declared on the product's label, posing a risk to individuals with soy allergies. The recall, announced on June 18, 2026, specifically impacts products labeled "POWER PLATE MEALS MEATLOAF WITH GARLIC MASHED POTATOES." These items are packaged in 13.3-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic trays and carry use-by dates ranging from June 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027. The affected meals were produced between June 25, 2025, and June 10, 2026. These products were distributed to distributors located in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) confirmed the recall after a state inspector alerted them to the soy omission. FSIS has stated that there are currently no confirmed reports of adverse reactions associated with the consumption of these recalled meals. However, the agency strongly advises consumers who may have these meals in their freezers to refrain from eating them. Consumers are instructed to either discard the product immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
