On November 14-16, 2025, the Small Animal Clinicians' Association, Chandigarh (SACA) hosted a groundbreaking three-day veterinary conference under the aegis of the Federation of Small Animal Practitioners Associations of India (FSAPAI). The event covered a wide range of topics, including the latest advancements in diagnostic tools, pioneering surgical techniques, and improved animal welfare protocols.
A key highlight of the conference was the participation of two internationally renowned veterinarians from Australia. Associate Professor Christopher Tan, a specialist surgeon and co-hospital director at SASH Vets in Sydney, and Dr. Ellie Leister, a critical care specialist and director of the Pet Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Brisbane, shared their expertise and ongoing research contributions with the attendees.
Jasbir Singh, the general secretary of WSAVA India, praised the conference for its ability to bring together leading experts from around the world to discuss the most pressing issues in the field of animal healthcare. The insights and innovations presented at the event are expected to have a significant impact on the future of veterinary medicine in India and beyond.
