Three of its urban primary health centers – Thergaon, Jijamata, and Nehru Nagar – have met the stringent national benchmarks for clinical care and patient services. This accomplishment places PCMC among an elite group of urban local bodies across India whose public health facilities adhere to national quality standards. The NQAS certification is granted after a rigorous assessment of various parameters, including infection control, clinical practices, patient rights, and overall service improvement. PCMC's health centers demonstrated a high level of preparedness and quality in healthcare delivery, following strict protocols for cleanliness, biomedical waste management, and patient safety aligned with WHO and Government of India guidelines.
