GP Online Access Surges: 1 Million+ Consultations Monthly

South East England is witnessing a dramatic rise in online GP interactions, with over 1 million patients per month now utilizing digital platforms for consultations. This surge follows national contractual changes mandating that all GP practices offer online access for clinical and administrative requests during core hours.

Across the region, online submissions have seen remarkable growth, more than doubling from 540,000 in December 2024 to 1.2 million in December 2025. This trend highlights a growing patient comfort with digital healthcare solutions.
