However, the mark persisted for six months, prompting self-research that suggested basal cell carcinoma (BCC). A subsequent doctor's appointment on August 2, 2025, confirmed the concern, leading to a biopsy.
Results revealed the blemish was indeed BCC, a sun-exposure-related skin cancer. Though manageable, the diagnosis was still frightening for the woman who diligently cared for her skin. She underwent Mohs surgery to remove the cancerous cells, requiring a second procedure to ensure complete removal.
